Metro Atlanta
Atlanta salon bookkeeping, from a bookkeeper who lives it.
We're based in Canton, just north of the city, and we only keep books for hair stylists, barbers and salons. Georgia sales tax, suite rent, booth rent, tips: we already know.
Started in a Georgia salon
Clean Cut Bookkeeping began in 2021 when I took over the books for my wife's business, Hair By Canaan. Reconciling her payment platform, sorting color from retail, tracking Georgia sales tax on product, handing our CPA clean numbers every spring. That's the job, and it's the only kind of books we keep.
Today we work with stylists and barbers across Metro Atlanta and the rest of the country, all through a secure client portal. Local when you want someone who knows the area. Remote so it fits around your clients.

Georgia sales tax on retail
If you sell product, you collect Georgia sales tax. We keep retail sales and the tax collected separate, so your filings are simple. Your CPA or you file them; we don't.
Salon suites everywhere
Metro Atlanta is full of suite buildings, and suite renters have rent, utilities and often retail to track. We handle all of it.
Booth rent and commission
Renters, commission stylists and shop owners each need different books. We've kept all three since 2021.
A CPA who knows salons
We work alongside your CPA. If you don't have one, we can point you to one in the area who understands the industry.
