What does it look like to work with Clean Cut Bookkeeping?
Working with Clean Cut Bookkeeping is a partnership. You are not just handing off transactions and hoping for the best. We work closely with you to understand how your business operates and to support you with anything related to bookkeeping. Our role is to keep your books accurate, organized, and up to date while helping you understand your numbers. If something does not look right or you are unsure how to record a transaction, you can reach out and we will walk through it together. You run your business. We support you behind the scenes so you always know where your numbers stand.
Do you file taxes?
No. We provide bookkeeping and financial reporting only. We do not file taxes or provide tax advice. We work alongside your CPA or tax professional to ensure your books are ready for them.
What software do you use?
We only use QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping. We integrate with most salon payment and booking platforms (like Square, Vagaro, GlossGenius, Fresha, and others), as well as your bank accounts.
How is pricing determined?
We have three tiers based on your business needs and complexity: Essential ($250-$300/month) for freelancers and solo owners under $100k revenue, Professional ($300-$400/month) for growing businesses with multiple accounts, and Premium ($400-$700/month) for established or multi-entity businesses. Save 15% with annual billing. Final pricing may adjust based on business complexity, account structure, and specific reporting needs.
What if I'm behind on my bookkeeping?
We offer two options: (1) Past Year Cleanup: Clean up prior years (2023, 2022, etc.) as a one-time service. (2) Current Year Cleanup: Clean up this year and start monthly bookkeeping to get caught up and stay current. For all cleanup and catch-up work, we charge a fixed price based on the volume and complexity of the work. Can you work with my CPA?
Absolutely. In fact, we prefer it. We'll coordinate with your CPA, provide them with clean books and reports, and make tax season smooth for everyone.
What if I have cash tips?
We'll set up a system for you to track cash tips (usually a simple monthly summary). We'll categorize them properly so your books and tax reporting are accurate.
Do you handle Georgia sales tax tracking?
Yes! We track Georgia sales tax on your retail product sales and ensure proper categorization in your books. Georgia sales tax varies by county (typically 6-9%), and we make sure it's separated correctly for your CPA and sales tax filings. We're familiar with Georgia business license requirements and local compliance for salons and barbershops.
Do you serve areas outside of Atlanta?
Yes! While we're based in Metro Atlanta and serve areas like Decatur, Marietta, Buckhead, and surrounding communities, we work with stylists, barbers, and salon owners throughout Georgia and beyond. All services are provided remotely, so location isn't a barrier.
Do you have a money-back guarantee?
Yes! If you're not satisfied with your first month, we'll give you a full refund, no questions asked. This applies to monthly bookkeeping services only. Cleanup services are excluded.
Do you offer referral incentives?
Yes. Refer a stylist, barber, or business owner and receive 50% off one future month of service for each successful referral who becomes a client.
What is the Client Portal?
The Client Portal is your secure online hub where you can upload documents (bank statements, contracts, and other documents), view your monthly financial reports and Power BI dashboards, track tasks, and message us directly. It's available 24/7 and accessible from any device. Think of it as your personal bookkeeping command center.
Is my financial data secure?
Absolutely. We take security seriously. All files uploaded to the portal are encrypted with bank-level security. Your data is stored in private, secure cloud storage with strict access controls. Only you and authorized team members can access your files. Your data is completely separate from other clients and protected at all times.
How do I share documents with you?
Simply log into your Client Portal and upload documents directly. You can drag and drop bank statements, contracts, or any other financial documents. Everything is organized by category and stored securely. No more emailing attachments or worrying about lost files.
What's your background and experience?
I have a Master's degree in Business and a strong background in data analysis. I've completed advanced training in tools like QuickBooks and Power BI, and I specialize in bookkeeping for service-based businesses. My focus is on accuracy, clarity, and making sure you actually understand your numbers.
